I read the review and noticed H&W did not get very good ratings but I decided to give them a try based on the few positive reviews I did read. I have to tell you that I am so happy I did. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and answered all my questions. I was given a more than fair quote and even came down a little more after I received another quote from another fencing company. The sales person Darrel was very polite, extremely helpful especially after I provided him with my Land survey. He saved me from future headaches regarding property lines. He always answered my calls and when he was not available, he would call back within the hour. His office administrator, Michelle, was also very professional, helpful, quick to respond to my emails and very pleasant. Even the field workers were a joy. They were very polite and if something was wrong or questionable, they would bring it to my attention before moving forward with the project. I put in a ranch style vinyl fence and it looks fantastic. The work was done in a timely manner, they cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. They are a great team. I would highly recommend this company.

Expert Deck Repair in Jacksonville, FL
Deck repair in Jacksonville is not a luxury. It is a safety issue. Jacksonville's year-round heat, heavy rain, and high humidity put constant stress on wood decks. Boards warp. Fasteners corrode. Joists soften from moisture trapped beneath the surface. Left unchecked, small problems turn into bigger structural failures. At H&W Fence Co, we inspect the full deck, not just what is visible on top. We check posts, beams, joists, stair stringers, and railing connections. From there, we replace damaged boards, re-secure loose framing, and address any rot before it spreads. Jacksonville's climate means shaded decks stay damp longer, which speeds up wood decay faster than homeowners expect. Catching damage early keeps repair costs lower and keeps your outdoor space safe for daily use. If your deck shows soft spots, wobbly railings, or splintered boards, contact H&W Fence Co to schedule an inspection.

Deck Repair FAQ
Common questions about deck repair in Jacksonville, FL.
Repair is usually the right call when damage is limited to boards, railings, or fasteners and the posts and joists are still solid. A hands-on inspection by a Jacksonville deck contractor will confirm whether the frame is structurally sound before any work begins.
We inspect and repair decking boards, posts, beams, joists, stair stringers, railings, and fasteners. Jacksonville's humidity can hide rot beneath a surface that still looks fine, so we check the structure from the ground up.
Yes, soft spots and sagging boards are repairable when the damage has not reached the main support structure. Our team identifies the source of the rot or moisture damage and replaces only what is compromised.
Jacksonville's high humidity and frequent rain keep wood wet for longer periods, which speeds up rot and warping. Shaded decks that do not dry out between rain events are especially prone to accelerated wood decay.
Yes, we repair and re-secure railings and stairs as part of our deck repair service in Jacksonville. Wobbly railings and weak stair connections are common safety issues we address during every inspection.
Jacksonville homeowners should have their deck inspected at least once a year, given the local heat, rain, and humidity. Catching loose boards, rust, or soft spots early prevents minor issues from becoming costly structural repairs.
