I read the review and noticed H&W did not get very good ratings but I decided to give them a try based on the few positive reviews I did read. I have to tell you that I am so happy I did. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and answered all my questions. I was given a more than fair quote and even came down a little more after I received another quote from another fencing company. The sales person Darrel was very polite, extremely helpful especially after I provided him with my Land survey. He saved me from future headaches regarding property lines. He always answered my calls and when he was not available, he would call back within the hour. His office administrator, Michelle, was also very professional, helpful, quick to respond to my emails and very pleasant. Even the field workers were a joy. They were very polite and if something was wrong or questionable, they would bring it to my attention before moving forward with the project. I put in a ranch style vinyl fence and it looks fantastic. The work was done in a timely manner, they cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. They are a great team. I would highly recommend this company.

Family-built fencing,
rooted since 1981
H&W Fence Co. has been a family business since 1981. We started with a simple goal: give Jacksonville homeowners a fence they could count on, installed by people who actually live here. Over four decades later, that goal has not changed.
We built this company as a family team, and that is still how we operate today. Every job we take on, we treat the property like it is our own. We know what it means to invest in your home, and we take that seriously.
Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida, and we have watched it grow from the ground up. We have worked through brutal summer heat, cold winter snaps, and the kind of hurricane seasons that test everything you build. Born and raised here, we know this area, and we know what fences need to hold up to.
We install wood, chainlink, vinyl, and aluminum fencing across Duval County and the surrounding communities. We also build wood decks and pergolas for homeowners who want to get more out of their outdoor space. Whether you need a privacy fence in Mandarin, a chainlink run in Oakleaf, or a pergola in Orange Park, we have the experience to get it done right.
Our crews work across Jacksonville, Orange Park, Mandarin, Oceanway, Biltmore, Murray Hill, Whitehouse, and Oakleaf. If you are in Duval County or nearby, there is a good chance we have already worked on your street.
Security and safety matter to us because they matter to our neighbors. That is why we show up on time, communicate clearly, and stand behind the work we do. We are not a national chain. We are your neighbors.
